Sayank ("we", "our", "us") is a construction project management platform. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website (sayank.com) and mobile application.
Account Information: Name and email address when you create an account via Auth0 authentication.
Project Data: Project details, addresses, budgets, expenses, step progress, draw requests, and other construction management data you enter.
Financial Data: Transaction amounts, vendor names, expense categories, and bank statement data you import (CSV/OFX files). We do not store bank login credentials.
Email Forwarding: If you enable email forwarding, credit card transaction alert emails forwarded to your unique @tx.sayank.com address are processed to extract transaction amounts, merchant names, and dates. The raw email content is not stored — only the parsed transaction data.
Photos & Receipt Scanning: Construction progress photos and receipt images you upload or capture via camera. Receipt images are processed by Google Cloud Vision API to extract text (amount, vendor, date). Images are sent securely to Google for processing and are not retained by Google after processing.
We use your information solely to provide the Sayank construction management service:
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
Your data is stored securely on PostgreSQL databases hosted on AWS. Files (photos, documents) are stored in AWS S3 with encryption at rest. Authentication is handled by Auth0 with industry-standard security practices.
We use HTTPS for all data transmission and implement security headers (HSTS, CSP, X-Frame-Options) on our web application.
You may request to access, update, or delete your personal data at any time by contacting us. You can also delete your account through the app settings.
